Part of the original farmstead belonging to Sherman Appleton goes back to 1778. Today, Appleton Farm is part of the original Appleton farmstead, including an existing structure built in a quintessential Maine style originally built-in 1875; and recently restored. The current parcel comprises over 160 acres of woods and open fields overlooking Appleton Mountain Ridge and the St John River. There are plenty of woods and areas to explore.
In addition, the farm is conveniently located close to a 20-minute drive to Camden or Belfast for excellent dining and shopping.
Today, Appleton Farm is dedicated to forestry projects, including planting hardwoods such as Red Maple, Sugar Maple, Black Walnut, and Balsam fir (Christmas trees).
Firewood will be available in Fall 2022. Check back soon for more details.
